Dear Brethren,

MEDITATION
10  To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,  11  according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord

Ephesians 3:10-11

OBSERVATION AND INTERPRETATION

1. The eternal purpose of God

a) Paul discloses this profound divine truth
b) This is a special revelation of God

2. Many are not aware of this “eternal purpose” of God

a) There is general ignorance
b) There is more concern about daily problems we face
c) There is also a lack of depth of thought

3. An explanation about the eternal purpose of God

a) It involves the manifold wisdom of God

i) This may be understood as the profound wisdom of God
ii) It is not common everyday wisdom

b) The wisdom of God is called “manifold”

i) Many aspects
ii) Many levels
iii) Many applications
iv) These are to be fathomed and appreciated

4. It involves the Church

a) The church must first grow in wisdom
b) It must be challenged to manifest wisdom too
c) It is then challenged to proclaim God’s wisdom

i) To principalities
ii) To powers
iii) In the heavenly places

5. How may this be done?

a) When the church finds this manifold wisdom
b) Thus, it must pursue wisdom
c) The current level of knowledge and wisdom must be improved first

APPLICATION TO LIFE AND MINISTRY

1. Commitment from pastors

a) To seek deeper knowledge
b) To find greater wisdom

2. Contribution

a) Individual wisdom to be shared
b) Towards a collective wisdom to be had

3. Cultivation

a) Love for knowledge
b) Love for godly wisdom

Let us seek the Lord for His grace and mercy without ceasing!
